Je gaat al goed van start als je op je cv hebt staan dat je achtergrondzangeres was van artiesten als Stevie Wonder, Elton John en Michael Jackson. Voor Judith Hill is het de gewoonste zaak van de wereld. Wat wil je ook als je door Rolling Stone omschreven wordt als "stellar powerhouse vocals". Haar verhaal zat al in de film '20 Feet From Stardom' van regisseur Morgan Neville, een verhaal dat achtergrondzangers en -zangeressen in de spotlight zet.

Sinds een aantal jaar treedt Judith Hill zelf in de spotlight. Eerst door deel te nemen in de Amerikaanse The Voice, daarna met het uitkomen van haar debuut 'Back in Time', een album dat ze met Prince produceerde en ook op zijn uitkwam op zijn label NPG Records. Het bevat alles wat je van zo'n samenwerking mag verwachten: funk, soul en r&b op zijn best, gebracht door een stem die het grote podium verdient.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
