Jonathan Wilson (solo piano show)

"Due to scheduling conflicts and unforeseen circumstances that need to keep me stateside, I regret to say I WON”T be able to make it to UK/Europe next month, no worry, everything is cool, I have exciting  news coming musically speaking, and I’ll be back with the band, and a batch of brand new songs for you  (and some old ones) in 2020… Apologies to those who were excited for these shows, I WAS TOO! Just have to postpone this run y’all, thanks for understanding XJW"

Met zijn bejubelde debuutalbum 'Gente Spirit' zette de zanger, liedjesschrijver, producer, gitaar- en pianovirtuoos Jonathan Wilson zich in 2011 wereldwijd op de kaart als soloartiest.Daarvoor en daarna werkte hij met veel grote artiesten samen. David Crosby, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Roger Waters, Jackson Browne, Tame Impala, Father John Misty; allemaal vroegen ze Wilson om danwel hun plaat te produceren of als bandlid mee op tournee te gaan. De in North Carolina geboren en getogen alleskunner opereert nu vanuit Los Angeles, waar hij zijn laatste album 'Rare Birds' maakte en in 2018 via het gerenommeerde platenlabel Bella Union uitkwam. Daarop hoor je ook Lana Del Rey, Josh Tillmann, Lucius en Brian Eno's protegé Laraaji. Laatstgenoemde zorgde voor meer ambient en new age invloeden in zijn muziek, waarmee Wilson zich buiten het vertrouwde Americana-pad begeeft. In het Zonnehuis geeft hij een intiem solo-concert op piano.
