Het concert van Joan Shelley op 1 juni om 20:00 is uitgesteld en vindt nu plaats op dinsdag 8 september om 21:30 (zaal open: 21:00 uur). De locatie is niet aangepast. Reeds gekochte kaarten blijven geldig voor de nieuwe datum. Ticketkopers ontvangen een e-mail met meer informatie.

The June 1st concert at 20:00h of Joan Shelley is postponed to Tuesday September 8th at 21:30h (doors: 21:00h). The location has not changed. Bought tickets remain valid for the new date of the concert. All ticket buyers will receive an e-mail with details shortly.

Joan Shelley schrijft ontroerende en intieme liedjes zoals weinig anderen dat kunnen. Dit doet de artiest uit Kentucky veelal zelf, maar voor haar zelfgetitelde album uit 2017 werkte ze samen met niemand minder dan Jeff Tweedy. Nu is ze terug met haar vijfde plaat ‘Like the River Loves the Sea’, waarop ook de vocalen van Bonnie "Prince" Billy te horen zijn. Voor de opnames reisde ze naar IJsland en werkte ze samen met lokale muzikanten voor de viool- en cellopartijen. Het resultaat is wederom een meer dan mooie combinatie van sixties folk en klassieke country.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
