Zet Jen Sholakis met Courtney Barnett en Bones Sloane in een studio en je krijgt het beste wat Australië te bieden heeft op indierockgebied. Jen Cloher bracht in 2013 het album ‘InBlood Memory’ uit, welke een omslag betekende in de folk-carrière die de singer-songwriter tot die tijd opbouwde. Het was het beginpunt voor een meer groovy geluid, waarin zeker ook de invloed van haar vrouw en medebandlid Courtney Barnett terug te horen is. Met haar draait ze ook het succesvolle label Milk! Records. Vorig jaar verscheen haar naar haarzelf vernoemde vierde album waarover The Independent schreef: "a modern day Patti Smith whose brutally honest, politically charged lyrics mark her out as one of the most interesting and important artists of her day.” In juli kwam live-EP 'Live at The Loft and Loew’s' uit en in Paradiso Noord geeft ze een solo-optreden.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
