Van een handrem heeft Handsome Poets nooit gehoord. De band is altijd in beweging. Niet alleen vanwege de uiterst dansbare indiepop en de energieke live-shows, maar ook omdat de groep sinds haar oprichting in 2008 geen seconde heeft stilgezeten. Hits als ‘Blinded’, ‘Dance (The War Is Over)’ en ‘Sky On Fire’ brachten de Handsome Poets naar de hoofdpodia van onder andere Pinkpop, Lowlands en Concert at SEA.

Het heeft even geduurd voordat het debuutalbum van de Groningse indieband Orange Skyline in de schappen kwam te liggen. Ze speelden in 2015 al in Paradiso met 'Serious Talent on Tour'. Behaalden in 2016 3FM Megahit met het nummer 'Sound & Fury' en vorig jaar verscheen het debuutalbum 'Things That I Hide'. De band heeft zijn Britpop bravoure verruild voor indie met elektronische elementen. Het resultaat is een herkenbaar en catchy geluid dat direct in je hoofd blijft zitten.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
