A personal message from the band:

Dear Everyone,

I'm so sorry to say that due to continuing uncertainty and logistical issues surrounding it, our mainland European shows in April and May cannot go ahead as planned. We’re really gutted about this, it feels like ages since we played in mainland Europe and we miss you all loads. We’re working on playing festivals or alternative shows in some of the affected countries over the summer so keep your eyes open for announcements. We hope to see you all as soon as possible.

De Britse elektronische indiepopband Glass Animals begon ooit als hobbyproject van frontman, zanger en producer Dave Bayley, die in zijn studententijd ’s nachts beats maakte wanneer hij niet kon slapen. Hij schreef een aantal singles, vormde een liveband met drie jeugdvrienden uit zijn woonplaats Oxford en voilà, Glass Animals was geboren. Het debuutalbum van de band - ‘Zaba’ uit 2014 - werd een groot succes door hun bijzondere, psychedelische elektronische indiepopgeluid geïnspireerd door de jungle en de natuur. Op opvolger ‘How To Be A Human Being’ uit 2016 verkent de band een compleet andere muzikale invalshoek, tevens met succes: ditmaal wordt Glass Animals genomineerd voor een prestigieuze Britse Mercury Prize. In coronajaar 2020 bracht Glass Animals hun verrassende derde langspeler 'Dreamland' uit, waarop ze onder andere samenwerken met rapper Denzel Curry. In 2021 zie je de band in het kader van hun gelijknamige wereldtournee in Paradiso.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
