“Son, you play country like country was when country was country". Dale Watson is een authentieke countryheld en met een plek in de Hall Of Fame van Austin in Amerika al bijna een legende. Net als zijn grote voorbeeld Johnny Cash speelt hij rauwe, pure country en zet hij zich af tegen de gladde popcountry die volgens hem tegenwoordig uit Nashville komt. Een bijna fatale overdosis drugs en het overlijden van zijn verloofde tekenen het leven en de muziek van Watson. Live wordt Dale Watson begeleid door zijn band The Lone Stars: Don Pawlak op steel-gitaar, Mike Bernal op drums en Chris Crepps op drums. De “keeper of the true country music flame” komt op zondag 11 maart met zijn nieuwe album ‘Call Me Insane’ naar Paradiso Noord.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
