Dit evenement is gratis en zamelt geld in voor de humanitaire crisis in Palestina. Opbrengsten van de markt gaan rechtstreeks naar de hieronder genoemde organisaties. Het is ook mogelijk om een bedrag te doneren door een kaartje te kopen voor dit evenement.
- Programma half zittend, half staand
In light of the ongoing tragedy faced by the Palestinian people, Parallel and Paradiso are collaborating with the new Amsterdam-based collective, RAFI (Raising Awareness and Funds Initiative), to organize a day and nightprogram centered around raising awareness and funds, as the name suggests.
During the earlier hours of the day, there will be a market offering valuable goods like clothing, books, poetry, posters, and Palestinian merchandise. Alongside the market, there will be music provided by DJ’s and a space for conversation facilitated by RAFI.
After the market, the event transitions into a conversational and educational program. Collaborating with speakers well-versed in the situation in Palestine and maintaining an attentive attitude, the audience will be encouraged to explore a multitude of perspectives on the subjects.
Finally, the fundraiser will be concluded with music by, amongst others, rappers and DJ’s with affinity with the Palestinian cause.

About RAFI:
Raising Awareness and Funds Initiative started out with a group of students, creatives, artists, but most importantly friends who were devastated by the escalation of the ongoing tragedies in Palestine. “Anger, fear, heartbreak, and grief took us to the streets, but love, listening, vocalizing and mobilizing locally, we believe, will have us make a wider impact.”

Anera - Anera is delivering food and hygiene kits right now in Gaza, helping families displaced by the war.
Middle Eastern Childrens Alliance - Amidst the ongoing attack on Gaza, MECA team and partners are providing emergency assistance to families who have fled their homes to seek shelter with relatives as well as procuring emergency medical supplies for hospitals and clinics.
The event is free of charge, but it is possible to donate an amount by buying a ticket. All profits of the market will go directly to the organizations mentioned above.

Route naar Parallel
Parallel is gevestigd op Buiksloterweg 5C in Amsterdam-Noord, aan de achterzijde van Tolhuistuin. Vanaf Amsterdam Centraal kun je met de gratis pont naar de overkant (Buiksloterweg). Na het oversteken van het IJ sla je direct linksaf en steek je de Volewijckbrug over. Sla vervolgens rechtsaf en loop door tot aan het Overhoeksplein. Aan de rechterzijde vind je de Galgenveldbrug: steek deze over en je vindt de ingang van Parallel aan de andere kant.
