Bootsy Collins and The Funk Unity Band

Funklegende en meesterbassist Bootsy Collins komt met zijn Funk Unity Band naar Paradiso. Bootsy Collins speelde mee in de vroegste versie van The J.B.’s - de begeleidingsband van James Brown - en is te horen op de legendarische nummers ‘Soul Power’ en ‘Sex Machine’. Daarna was Bootsy Collins actief in George Clinton’s Parliament en Funkadelic. Vanaf 1976 leidde hij zijn eigen band Bootsy’s Rubber Band, waarvan de eerste drie albums tot het essentiële P-Funk erfgoed behoren. Verschillende andere samenwerkingen, waaronder met Snoop Dogg, Fatboy Slim en Red Hot Chili Peppers, maken van Bootsy een ware pionier, ook in de hedendaagse popmuziek.
