More about the program

Hasret Emine: Astrology lecture
20:30 - 21:00 in Tolhuistuin (club)

Hasret Emine's astrology lecture will be part astro forecast for the summer, and part celebration of witchy queer pop culture. They'll present us tools to work through significant astro events, discuss unexpected witches in cinema, and show the magic within queerness.

Hasret Emine (they/them) is a writer, artist, researcher and astrologer from Turkey, based in The Netherlands. They like to change their minds and challenge the capitalist status quo.

Feministische Handwerk Partij: 'Thread Riders' (performance)
21:00 - 21:30 in Tolhuistuin (Club)

In this performance the Feministische Handwerk Partij will reveal the magical powers and survival techniques attributed to wool-spinning-witches in ancient European folk-religion.

The Feministische Handwerk Partij (FHP) is a political feminist artist movement that is dedicated to studying, repairing, speaking, patching up, unlearning and mending. The FHP organizes performative actions and workshops in which they allow needlework and studying to become completely intertwined. The act of repairing textiles plays an important part in this because it is an exercise in slowing down, embodying and transforming. Through this they are connecting with the underexposed longstanding history of women in which textile production was a daily reality. By their activities they want to realize a higher level of appreciation for care, maintenance and repair.

By Emmeline de Mooij, Valerio Conti, Margreet Sweerts.

Nychenda Fecunda in conversation with M I M I
21:30 - 22:00 in Tolhuistuin (Club)

A dialogue between host Nychenda Fecunda and artist M I M I about art, sound and healing.

M I M I is a multitalented DJ and transdisciplinary artist based in Brussels. Her work is driven by an ongoing conversation with nature, drawing inspiration from the boundaries between the natural world and the manmade, with a specific focus on the impact of antropocene. Exploring the paradoxical relationship between classical music, club music, all infused with rhythms and melodies of her African heritage. Incorporating her Afro-European cultural heritage and shamanic practices through various mediums, she seamlessly blends multiple genres, palettes, and textures to create a unique and forward-thinking sound.

Nychenda Fecunda is a researcher and programmer in the cultural sector, specialized in decolonial and queer community building, working mostly in museums. She is also active in the Dutch and Mexican ballroom scene and works as an MC in queer nightlife. Additionally, she loves to host a diverse range of events as a presenter and moderator.

손 (hahae son): Performance
22:00 - 22:15 in Tolhuistuin (Club)

Guided by the silence speaking, 손 invites her audience to listen to the voices in the cracks. Here you will find a ritual of dreaming. Watching for perception, she inserts herself into the midst of those gathered, near and far. She will weave through the audience and walk them to a rest stop, just for a while.

손 (hahae son) is a word & shaper of sound. Her syncretic approach to time means that the performance she builds slowly peels back the layers of occlusion between this world and what lies behind.

LoMaasBello: Live music act
22:15 - 23:00 in Tolhuistuin (Club)

LoMaasBello is an Afrocolombian trans artist. She has been doing music and audiovisual for around 3 years. Working on her solo project and also collaborating with different artists like Cawd Slaydaz from Amsterdam and activist Collectives like Posa Suto and SantaFilms in Colombia. LoMaasBello is a pioneer in the queer urban scene in Colombia, her music mix trap, regaeton and currulao.

Time Travelers: An immersive ritual to renew our relationship to time
21:00 – 23:00 in Tolhuistuin (Zonzij)
Doors open: 21:00
Immersive ritual: 21:30 - 22:00

“What home is to space, is what ritual is to Time” - inspired on Byung-Chul Han

Time Travelers invites you into an immersive and experimental ritual to renew our relationship to Time. Through practices, stories and sounds we will move away from the dominant industrial and linear views on Time. Can we honor Time as a sacred entity? Can we experience Time in a way that opens up to different realms? Together we will travel to the rhythms of our bodies, the mountains and our ancestors. Time frames that enable us to connect more deeply with ourselves, each other and the More-Than-Human world.

Georg Stuby, also known by his artist names:
“Kinsuby” and “Portal To Creation,” creates immersive musical landscapes for profound moments of inner exploration in psilocybin ceremonies and dance-floors alike.

By Time Travelers: Flora de Vries, Brechje Meijers, Deepali Pahwa and Georg Stuby.
