Ukrainian Stand Up Comedy: Volodymyr Shumko

On October 12, 2025, Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Shumko will present his stand-up theater show “Дзвінок з дитинства” (“Call from Childhood”) in the Upstairs Hall at Paradiso, Amsterdam.

The performance explores reconnecting with one’s inner child. Shumko combines humor, sincerity, and reflection in an evening that invites both lightness and depth.

About the show, he says:
"Let’s try to call ourselves. What, is the line busy again? It is not the line — it is you who are too busy to truly speak to yourself. In childhood, such words simply did not exist."
