This program is part of Summer Dance Forever: an international hip-hop dance festival where dancers and audiences from all over the world come together in Amsterdam twice a year. The Summer Dance Forever Weekender program includes the House Dance Battle, Clubbing Forever, different club nights, dance performances and workshops. Next to the Weekender, the week-long Summer Dance Forever festival takes place every year in August. There is an affordable Weekender Package for sale (€48 online) that gives you access to the entire program from 31 January - 2 February, excluding the workshops.

Get ready to break some beats at this brand-new SDF club night. After the first wave of producers like Bugz in the Attic, Domu, and IG Culture, a new generation of DJs and producers is now pushing the boundaries of broken beat. Enter Bruk — the evolution of the sound that's taking UK dancefloors to uncharted territories.

Join Don Surf and Shy One as they lead the charge, bringing fresh energy, killer rhythms, and brand-new beats. SDF veteran Lucas Benjamin and SDF newcomer Abiba — who made a killer entrance last summer — will kick off the night, playing back-to-back. Expect everything from gritty basslines and smooth boogie to hard-hitting grooves and soulful vibes that will have you moving all night long.

Having started DJing on pirate radio as a teenager, Shy One has been exposed to and influenced by the full spectrum of sounds her hometown, London, has birthed and nurtured over the years. One of her first releases caught the attention of Scratcha DVA, and since then she has released music on many respected labels like Rhythm Section, Astral Black, and Beats In Space, further establishing herself as an undefinable artist. Shy One is one of the UK’s most eclectic voices, seamlessly transitioning between hip-hop, jazz, house music, and West London’s own broken beat movement. Her NTS show, Soup To Nuts, represents this rich mix of genres and features guest artists such as Ruby Savage, Dreamcastmoe, SHERELLE, and many more.

Producer and DJ from Manchester residing in Leeds. He’s currently holding a residency at Rinse FM, diving deep into house, soul and broken beats or as he stated: ‘brukn beats’. Released music with Dance Regular, Ec2a and Kultura Collective

ABIBA b2b Lucas Benjamin

After first taking the SDF stage last summer by winning a DJ open call, she’s back to take the floor once again! Based in the Netherlands, Abiba is an emerging performance artist and DJ challenging the lack of diversity in Western electronic music, aiming to create a space for free expression on the dancefloor. Blending her favorite tracks, Abiba crafts a vibrant mix of broken beats, house, and acid jazz, with roots in hip hop and touches of garage and dub. Expect syncopated rhythms, infectious grooves, and impactful vocals as she takes you on a musical journey.

Abiba will join forces with SDF-regular Lucas Benjamin, sho's first encounters with music started at an early age. As the son of a DJ and musician he was nourished with a broad selection of sounds. His true passion for music evolved when he started dancing at the age of twelve. Together with Leroy Rey, he co-founded Wicked Wax, a label blending soul, jazz, and funk with modern sounds. He also created Steppin’ Into Tomorrow, an Amsterdam-based platform showcasing Dutch music on the global stage.

Route naar Paradiso

Paradiso is gevestigd aan de Weteringschans 6-8. Dat is dicht bij het Leidseplein en goed bereikbaar met het openbaar vervoer (metro 52 en diverse trams). Je kunt je fiets gratis en bewaakt parkeren in de ondergrondse parkeergarage op het Leidseplein. In de buurt van Paradiso zijn meerdere parkeergarages.
