De New Yorkse band met de poëtische naam The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart, wordt voornamelijk vergeleken met Britse bands als My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Smiths, Belle and Sebastian en Teenage Fanclub. En op hun titelloze debuutalbum worden al deze vergelijkingen glansrijk waargemaakt. Schurende gitaren, galmende zang en perfecte popmelodieën. Het zal niet lang duren voordat The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart de hoofdrolspelers zijn geworden van de shoegazerevival die op het moment volop aan de gang is. Kaarten zijn ook geldig voor het concert van Dan Deacon om 21.00 uur.
