Culture is at the heart of the house and clubbing scene at large, rooted in black culture, the LGBTQI+ community, underground clubs, and freedom of expression. Rooted in Culture's mission is to explore the club culture through movement, education and inspiration.

In this programme, the Dutch Housedance community give you food for thought and relaxation for your body. Be inspired by Zev's Housedance workshop, rooted in Dutch club culture, followed by Lynnee Denise and Mo Wrights (Steppin Into Tomorrow) in conversation, taking you through the history of New York club culture in the '90s. Rounding off the programme are DJ collective Chill on Tuesday and Chocolate Brown teaming up for a b2b session to kickstart the vibes on the dancefloor until close.

This event is supported by the Amsterdam Housedance Community.

Route naar Parallel

Parallel is gevestigd op Buiksloterweg 5C in Amsterdam-Noord, aan de achterzijde van Tolhuistuin. Vanaf Amsterdam Centraal kun je met de gratis pont naar de overkant (Buiksloterweg). Na het oversteken van het IJ sla je direct linksaf en steek je de Volewijckbrug over. Sla vervolgens rechtsaf en loop door tot aan het Overhoeksplein. Aan de rechterzijde vind je de Galgenveldbrug: steek deze over en je vindt de ingang van Parallel aan de andere kant.
