Summer Dance Forever is één van de belangrijkste internationale hiphopdansfestivals. Ieder jaar in augustus komen dansers en publiek vanuit de hele wereld samen in Amsterdam om te genieten van virtuoze dansvoorstellingen, explosieve battles, soulvolle clubnachten, workshops van topdansers en nog veel meer. Hiernaast organiseert Summer Dance Forever ieder jaar in februari de meer intieme Weekender-editie, met een focus op House Dance. Dit jaar vindt Summer Dance Forever van 20 t/m 26 augustus plaats in o.a. Paradiso, ITA en DeLaMar. Bekijk het complete programma hier.

Popping Forever is a dance competition held during Summer Dance Forever, featuring the top 24 dancers from around the world competing in the Popping style.

Visitors can enjoy watching the preselections and the thrilling battles, while those who wish to participate must face off against the three judges if they make it to the Top 3. This unique feature sets Summer Dance Forever apart from other dance battles worldwide. Unlike other events where judges assess from a distance behind a desk, at Summer Dance Forever, the judges themselves enter the battle to fight it out on the floor! Despite being renowned international dancers, judges don't always win. Whoever does win the battle gains everlasting glory, wins prize money, and earns the opportunity to judge at a future event.

WANT TO PARTICIPATE?
If you want to participate in the battles, you first need to register and participate in the preselections. The top 24 best dancers will go through to the actual battle.

Minimum age for participation is 12 years.

⮕ Registration for participating dancers: Thursday 24 August – 10:00
⮕ Start preselections Popping: Thursday 24 August – 12:00 - 14:00 (doors open: 10:00)
⮕ Start battle Popping: Thursday 24 August – 14:30 - 18:30

Route naar Paradiso

Paradiso is gevestigd aan de Weteringschans 6-8. Dat is dicht bij het Leidseplein en goed bereikbaar met het openbaar vervoer (metro 52 en diverse trams). Je kunt je fiets gratis en bewaakt parkeren in de ondergrondse parkeergarage op het Leidseplein. In de buurt van Paradiso zijn meerdere parkeergarages.
