Eind 2007 besluiten producer Hayzee en rapper Akwasi, allebei actief in het Amsterdamse jongerencentrum Studio West, samen een groep op te richten. De rapper Leeroy wordt al snel als derde lid aan de formatie toegevoegd en Zwart Licht is een feit. Binnen een jaar is debuutalbum ‘Bliksemschicht’ klaar om in eigen beheer uitgebracht te worden, twee maanden later ligt het album via Top Notch door het hele land in de winkel en is Zwart Licht al snel een gevestigde naam binnen de Nederlandse hiphop. Op het moment is Zwart Licht druk bezig in de studio met de opnames van de EP ‘No Juju’ die op deze avond in Paradiso gepresenteerd wordt.
