Ze worden vergeleken met Arcade Fire, Simon & Garfunkel
en Vampire Weekend, en hun zang is net zo harmonieus als Fleet Foxes. Oude,
hippe muziek of hippe, oude muziek dus. Maar wat de Local Natives anders maakt
is dat de Californische zon door hun muziek schijnt. De band bestaat uit Matt
Frazier (drums), Andy Hamm (bassist), Ryan Hahn (gitaar en zang), Taylor Rice
(zang en gitaar) en Kelcey Ayer (zang en toetsen). Begin november komt het debuutalbum 'Gorilla Manor' uit bij Rough Trade.
