Kurt Vile is het jonge gitaar- en zangtalent dat bekend staat om zijn grillige lo-fi melodieën. Op het podium wordt hij bijgestaan door zijn begeleidingsgroep The Violators, met wie Vile al in het voorprogramma van Sonic Youth en The National stond. Sinds 2008 heeft hij al vier albums opgenomen waarvan ‘Smoke Ring For My Halo’ de meest recente is.
