In 2007 bestormde de toen twintigjarige Kate Nash de Nederlandse hitparade met de single ‘Foundations’ en het bijbehorende album ‘Made of Bricks’ scoorde goed in heel Europa en Amerika. In 2010 kwam de opvolger ‘My Best Friend is You’ uit, waarop Nash brak met haar eerdere werk. Zowel haar zang als haar muziek nemen een veel hoekigere, scherpe wending maar er staan ook nog gewoon ouderwetse Kate Nash-hitsingles als ‘Do-Wah-Doo’ op. Een nieuw album wordt binnenkort verwacht.
