Jazz Rave feat Earthbound

Be prepared for an intergalactic journey traveling between different musical planets. Our special act Earthbound is a dance performance which presents the entire spectrum of hiphop dance. The performers developed a personal language, while staying true to their street dance roots. They Bring a melting pot of cultures to a boil, asking the broad question: What belongs to us on Earth, what beauty do we all have in common?  

To make this night even more special we have music by DJ KC the Funkaholic b2b with Leroy Rey and IG Culture. IG Culture is the man responsible for the soundtrack of Earthbound and the man behind Likwid Continual Space Motion. Expect political jazz and broken beat madness for your dancing feet… 

Special Act: Earthbound
Earthbound omvat het volledige spectrum van hip-hop dans, van free jazz tot elektro, om de rijkdom te vieren van deze rebelse maar feestelijke underground scene.Johanna Faye en Saïdo Lehlouh hebben als het duo Iskio een persoonlijke taal ontwikkeld. Vloeiend en dynamisch, waarmee ze al dansend converseren en de hedendaagse hiphop heruitvinden terwijl ze dicht bij de street dance oorsprong blijven. De persoonlijkheid van elke performer komt tot uiting in elke authentieke lichaamsbeweging van Earthbound, gedreven door de onweerstaanbare groove van Mackenzy Bergile, NSDOS en de composities van Lumi Sow. Samen brengen ze een smeltkroes van verschillende culturen aan de kook, die leidt naar de vraag die al uit de titel blijkt: wat op de aarde behoort ons toe? En welke schoonheid delen we met ons allen?
