De getalenteerde singer-songwriter Greg Holden werd in Schotland geboren, groeide op in Londen en woont nu in New York. Daar schrijft hij, met Bob Dylan als inspiratiebron, nummers met diepzinnige teksten op meeslepende muziek, wel wat vergelijkbaar met de lyrische stijl van bijvoorbeeld Damien Rice. Hij bracht drie albums uit maar werd “stiekem” wereldberoemd met het nummer ‘Home’ dat hij schreef voor de American Idol winnaar Phillip Phillips. De single werd vijf miljoen keer verkocht.
