GADO GADO! Dat is de strijdkreet van de lekkerste nacht van 2025.

Six bands are coming together for an international party night featuring Indonesian folk music, Dutch ADHD rock, and German art-pop.

Michael (Nusantara Beat & Pom), Ivana (YAFFA & Fabienne Julie), and Fredi Erdmann (Solo & DIFFER) are popping corks and leaving their conservatory studies behind. After touring Europe and Asia, they reunite for an unforgettable night at Paradiso Tolhuistuin. Just like the Indonesian dish Gado-Gado, they serve up the tastiest mix of international bands in the melting pot of Amsterdam.

Nusantara Beat

Indonesian folk music from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Nusantara Beat's commitment to honoring tradition is only part of their mission. They also strive to showcase the immense diversity of Indonesian music and usher it into the future. By adding their own innovative twists to the mix, they pay homage to the traditional sounds while introducing a fresh and contemporary perspective.

Pom

POM proves that raw music can be perfectly combined with a cheerful, energetic atmosphere. The band from Amsterdam takes inspiration from Britpop, punk and garage rock and creates their own sound, best described as fuzzpop. POM showcases multiple daring combinations in both their bouncing live shows and in the studio. For example, the contrasting themes of recognizable situations from everyday life to absurd fantasy in both sound and text present on POM's first EP 'Lately' . Their first album is on its way and describes the path to adulthood and the search for one's own identity in a playful way.

YAFFA

YAFFA is a four-headed alternative rock band from Amsterdam that tries to mirror the modern day world: Faster, greater, and - most of all - more baffling. The group takes a liking to loud, energetic music: Crude riffs are followed by danceable grooves over which unhinged vocals are sung, all whilst floating in a pool of psychedelic soundscapes. As content creators make shorter videos, YAFFA turns up the pace. For every new misinforming article, YAFFA turns up the gain. As more becomes more, YAFFA becomes YAFFA. Childish ecstasy is the goal, rapturous noise the way.

DIFFER

DIFFER is a comic pop band with a green future vision. Artistically, they could be described as the German GORILLAZ. In their albums, the comic character DIFFER leaves civilization to build a sustainable city. Both the music and the realization of the project are a reflection of the irrefutable hope that man and nature can coexist peacefully.

Fabienne Julie

Fabienne Julie hands you the key to her core. Her cinematic alt-folk music is a library filled with stories, every book holding a song. She evokes hope and healing through personal songs which move from fragile and tender to grand and powerful. She brings honest, poetic lyrics in which she questions life, love, her sanity and the patterns that became entwined with her being throughout the years.

Fredi Erdmann

Simply getting out of the front door onto his bike, with just a hammock and a trumpet in his luggage! This is how songwriter Fredi Erdmann rode along the Atlantic coast to expose himself to life. Next to healing encounters with strangers his journey resulted in a touching album. A mixture of songs, improvisations and travel stories reveal a heart-opening journey towards feeling alive. Fredi Erdmann reacts to his surroundings and encounters the moment also when he performs it. Oftentimes the audience becomes part of the journey and takes influence on an irretrievable version of a song or a story.

Route naar Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (voorheen Paradiso Noord) is gevestigd aan IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam Noord. Vanaf Amsterdam Centraal kun je met de gratis veerpont naar de overkant, waar je na links af te hebben geslagen, tegen Tolhuistuin aanloopt. Voor clubnachten wordt de ingang aan de achterkant gebruikt (Buiksloterweg 5C), die te bereiken is via het Overhoeksplein.
