Elliott Brood is een Canadese alt-country band die in 2002 werd opgericht in Toronto. Zanger Mark Sasso bespeelt de gitaar, banjo, ukulele, harmonica en kazoo. Dat wordt door zijn bandleden Casey Laforet en Stephen Pitkin aangevuld met percussie, bezwerende achtergrondzang, dreigende basloopjes en samples. Kortom: het geluid van Elliott Brood en is vol en groots, en wordt ook wel bestempeld als ‘death country’, ‘frontier rock’ of ‘revival muziek’. Het laatste werk van Elliott Brood, het derde studioalbum ‘Days Into Years’ werd in oktober uitgebracht in Europa.
