Na een weergaloos jaar vol hoogtepunten, is Alice Merton er klaar voor om ook het nieuwe jaar haar belofte in te lossen. Één van die hoogtepunten was haar nummer 'No Roots', dat door heel Europa een megahit werd. Ook daarbuiten werd de Iers-Duitse singer-songwriter opgemerkt. Het nummer klom ook in Billboard Charts voortdurend omhoog.
Het typeert ook deels de levensloop van Alice Merton. Ze groeide op in Canada, verhuisde later naar Duitsland om vervolgens in Groot-Brittannië haar nieuwe thuis te vinden. Haar droom om muzikante te worden kwam uit toen ze haar platenlabel Paper Plane Records Int. oprichtte en zelf nummers begon uit te brengen. Op maandag 5 maart treedt Alice Merton op in Bitterzoet. Verwacht veel nieuw materiaal, maar ook haar bekende werk dat afkomstig is van de 'No Roots EP'.
