Summer Dance Forever is an international hiphop dance festival featuring a 7-day celebration each August, plus a more intimate Weekender every February. From 6–8 February, the SDF Weekender returns to Paradiso for an energetic three-day gathering of dancers and dance lovers, packed with battles, performances, club nights, and workshops. There is an affordable Weekender Package for sale (€51 online) that gives you access to the entire program from 6 February - 8 February, excluding the workshops.

If you stay at Paradiso after Theater Forever, you can attend the club night Afro Beats & Vibes for free, starting at 23:30 (if you leave Paradiso, you have to buy a separate ticket for this event!). Please note that our Club Nights are 18+.

Programma half zittend, half staand

This evening, we rewrite the classic European image of womanhood through two choreographic feminist manifestos in Waacking and Vogue Fem! 'EVE88' by Emanuelle Soum (MaisonM) and 'Furiosa' by Viola Chiarini (Made in Whack) both reclaim the body as a site of resistance, transforming the stage into a space of reinvention shaped by movement, rage, femininity, and desire.

Please note: both performances include strobe lighting effects that may cause visual discomfort for some audience members.

VIOLA CHIARINI: FURIOSA

In 'Furiosa', Italian choreographer Viola Chiarini gives form to a visceral, ancient anger inspired by the figure of Medea. With three performers, she explores the feverish physicality of Waacking, navigating between tension, pulsation, and liberation. Rage becomes an engine of creativity, an instinctive language, and a space of survival. Anger is transfigured into an uplifting force and a powerful celebration of the feminine in all its intensity.

EMANUELLE SOUM: EVE88

What if Eve had never sinned? What if biting into the apple was an act of emancipation rather than a fall from grace? In 'Eve88', French choreographer Emanuelle Soum revisits this foundational myth through a liberated physicality shaped by her journey into somatic practices (yoga), club culture, and Vogue Fem. Gestures shed aesthetic norms, and disobedience becomes an act of power. 'EVE88' brings together performers from contemporary dance backgrounds and unfolds as a ritual space where the body becomes a site of intuition, resistance, and transformation. A celebration of the feminine as an intuitive, sacred, and plural force.I

Route naar Paradiso

Paradiso is gevestigd aan de Weteringschans 6-8. Dat is dicht bij het Leidseplein en goed bereikbaar met het openbaar vervoer (metro 52 en diverse trams). Je kunt je fiets gratis en bewaakt parkeren in de ondergrondse parkeergarage op het Leidseplein. In de buurt van Paradiso zijn meerdere parkeergarages.
