Weinig muzikanten bewegen zich zo vrij tussen uiteenlopende genres als de mysterieuze Yves Tumor. De experimentele artiest combineert noise, r&b, elektronica, pop en triphop op een vloeiende, haast surrealistische manier. Op het in 2018 uitgekomen album ‘Safe in the Hands of Love’ klinkt deze unieke mengvorm op z’n best, mede door opvallende en goed ontvangen singles als ‘Noid’ en ‘Licking An Orchid’. Daar bleef het niet bij, want in 2020 werd een nieuw hoogtepunt bereikt met de meer rock-georiënteerde plaat ‘Heaven to a Tortured Mind’. Yves Tumor heeft de afgelopen jaren tevens een behoorlijke live-reputatie opgebouwd; geen concert is hetzelfde.

Pitchfork gaf ‘Heaven to a Tortured Mind’ een 8.5:

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
