Artist statement:

Right after thanksgiving my father passed away. He was a bright spot, a quiet sage. He had a good death. It was filled with hope. I am going to take some time to be with my family. I want to be able to focus on this big transition. I want to give my feelings the time they deserve. I will cancell my upcoming European dates in January and February. I will absolutely be back later on the in the year. Dates will be forthcoming. Thank you all for being so conscientious.Go give your parents a hug.See you all really soon.

De uit New York afkomstige, maar tegenwoordig in Los Angeles wonende Adrian Galvin maakt energieke folkpop als Yoke Lore. De multi-instrumentalist heeft een voorkeur voor banjo en dit instrument fungeert als rode draad in zijn muzikale bestaan. De New Yorker groeide op in een creatieve en spirituele familie en zo pakt hij ook zijn live optredens aan. Zijn nummers klinken elke keer anders doordat hij ter plekke wil voelen hoe zijn muziek wordt opgepakt en vanuit daar werkt hij verder. Yoke Lore opende al voor Bastille, Bishop Briggs, Mt. Joy en rekent Taylor Swift tot zijn fans. Debuutplaat 'Toward a Never Ending New Beginning' moet lezen als een autobiografisch boek, waarin elke gebeurtenis met elkaar in verbinding staat. Naast muzikant is Galvin ook danser en kunstenaar.
