Y.O.P.E. is het muzikale experiment van bassist Joop de Graaf, bekend van zijn werk met onder andere Brintex Collective, Imaginarium, Diana Dzhabbar Kwartet en Dandana. Joop studeerde aan de Jazzafdeling van het Conservatorium van Amsterdam en begon daar samen met drummer Luis Possollo zijn eigen project Y.O.P.E.. In 2022 namen zij samen hun eerste EP 'Lost but Here' op, wat klinkt als een dansbare samensmelting van elektronische jazz en breakbeat. Later verscheen de band ook nog op de 'Super-Sonic Family Vol. 2' elpee met hun swingende nummer 'A Place To Go'. 26 februari 2025 komt Y.O.P.E.'s nieuwste album 'Peer Pleasure' uit, wat ze tijdens hun album release show in de Bovenzaal groots zullen vieren.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
