De Nigeriaanse WurlD begon zijn carrière met het schrijven van liedjes voor artiesten als BOB, Trinidad James, Akon en Mario. In 2012 bracht de singer-songwriter zijn eerste eigen single 'Beyond Our Dreams' uit, de eerste single van zijn debuut-EP 'Evolution'. Zijn muziek werd al snel opgepakt door Vice, E! Online & MTV, waarna de streams direct binnenstroomde. WurlD zijn unieke stijl, waarin hij afropop combineert met elektronische invloeden, hebben hem een toegewijde en loyale fanbase opgeleverd.
