Wildbirds & Peacedrums

Wildbirds & Peacedrums zijn de charismatische zangeres Mariam Wallentin en de expressieve drummer Andreas Werliin. Ze hebben elkaar in 2004 ontmoet op de Academie voor Muziek en Drama in Gothenburg, Zweden. Nog steeds zit er een dramatisch element in de buitengewone mix van spirituele pop, oerblues en uitbundige soul. Ze zigzaggen langs duivelse ritmes en uitgeklede, behekste ballads. Dit jaar werd het vierde album ‘Rythm’ uitgebracht. Zelf zeggen ze over het album: “We decided this should be our ‘going back to our roots’ album. Which is drums and vocals. Except for a bass line here and there, that is what it is. Drums and voice. Rhythms. We wanted the record to sound as intense as our live shows, and as chaotic as the world around us.”
