Het concert van WIES in Paradiso op 26 maart is uitgesteld en zal nu plaatsvinden op 5 oktober 2020. Ook de locatie is gewijzigd: het concert is verplaatst van Paradiso naar Bitterzoet. Reeds gekochte kaarten blijven geldig voor de nieuwe datum. Ticketkopers ontvangen een e-mail met meer informatie. We verzoeken bezoekers om niet telefonisch of per e-mail om meer informatie te vragen.
WIES
De Amsterdamse, Nederlandstalige indiepopband WIES bestaat net iets langer dan een jaar, maar beleefde een vliegende carrièrestart met de winst van de Amsterdamse Popprijs in 2018 en de Grote Prijs van Nederland in 2019. Het drietal – wat bestaat uit gitarist en zangeres Jeanne Rouwendaal, bassist Tobias Kolk en drummer Jasper Meurs – liep elkaar tegen het lijf op het Conservatorium van Amsterdam. WIES maakt, zoals ze het zelf het liefst omschrijven, ’rammelende elektronische muziek’ en is ‘de perfecte driehoeksdynamiek van pop, elektronica en het organische’ – geïnspireerd door het werk van Ramses Shaffy tot Spinvis. Onlangs speelde de band in een uitverkochte grote zaal van Paradiso als voorprogramma van Roxeanne Hazes, in het najaar van 2020 komt het trio terug voor een eigen concert. Tijdens deze show wordt hun release via de Paradiso Vinyl Club (uitgave PVC033) gevierd. Zie voor meer informatie ook de website van Paradiso Vinyl Club.

Paradiso Vinyl Club is het onafhankelijke platenlabel van Paradiso. Paradiso steunt graag artiesten waar zij in gelooft en probeert op die manier een klein steentje bij te dragen aan talentontwikkeling in het Nederlandse muzieklandschap. Wil jij opkomend muzikaal talent steunen? Je platenkast aanvullen met mooi vinyl? En gratis naar concerten? How to get to Paradiso
Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
