Paradiso can organize programmes again thanks to the partially lifted corona measures. Due to the limited room capacity (maximum 250 visitors), it is not necessary to show a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination at the entrance.You do not have to show a 'coronatoegangsbewijs' or a proof of vaccination to visit this concert. Inside the venue, concertgoers will have to practice a social distance to other visitors. It is not compulsory to wear a mask, but we do advice to wear one when moving around in the venue. Statement van Walter Trout:
"For the last few weeks, we thought our Dutch shows had to be cancelled due to expected limited capacity rules, but our Dutch agency, my manager and wife Marie, and my tour manager Andrew have worked hard to find a way to make this happen anyway. It will have to be set up differently than what we are used to as we have to honor the restrictions in place, but I really, really want to come to the Netherlands and play for you. I miss it more than I can express! I will have my usual US bass player, Johnny Griparic (who coincidentally will be in Europe visiting family) and two brilliant EU musicians, Juan van Emmerloot on drums and Bob Fridzema on keyboards. With this outfit, we'll rock the house for you, and I hope that those of you who have or manage to still get tickets will come and celebrate with us.

Walter Trout is een bluesrocker in hart en nieren. Hij speelde tientallen jaren in dienst van andere artiesten: zo werkte hij samen met blues-allrounder John Lee Hooker, maar ook met funk-discoman Joe Tex en hij was zelfs tijdelijk lid van de band Canned Heat. Met zijn 70e verjaardag in zicht, lijkt het er verder niet op dat Trout ook maar één stapje terug zet. Binnenkort verschijnt zijn 29e soloalbum, 'Ordinary Madness', als bewijs hiervan.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
