Giefa Sparkle is a rising star born, in the world-famous city of Amsterdam, The Netherlands. From a young age, she harbored a passion for singing and dancing. Growing up in a musical family, Giefa's path to music was a natural one. After months of dedication and creativity, she is finally ready to share her new music with the world. The choice to sing in English, instead of Dutch as in her previous work, marks a new artistic direction. This decision came from her desire to make music that truly comes from her heart, instead of what people expect from her. Blending deeply earthy West Indian rhythms and percussive sounds with glitchy electronic textures reminiscent of the early days of Midwestern House & Techno and a dash of emotionally vulnerable punk, awhlkuhn ultimately wants to make every part of your being move closer to something more light, free and sexy.
