Grammy-winnaar Mayer Hawthorne en hiphopproducer Jake One vormen samen de funkband Tuxedo. Zwaar beïnvloed door de discofunk uit de jaren '70 van bands als Chic, Shalamar en Zapp begonnen de vrienden in 2006 mixtapes samen te stellen. Het duurde tot 2012 dat de band hun eerste single 'Do It' uitbracht welke direct aansloeg. Dit jaar kwam 'Tuxedo II' de traditie van het invloedrijke genre gebruikt in hun originele, moderne en swingende songs.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
