Trampled By Turtles knipoogt naar de traditionele bluegrass. Ze komen uit Duluth (stad van Low en Bob Dylan) en zijn een gevierde band op feesten en partijen met zo’n 150 optredens per jaar. Maar Trampled By Turtles is net zo goed succesvol als ze optreden met Low, Cracker, Camper Van Beethoven of Pedro The Lion. Interessante folkelementen maken de band ongewoon, speels en authentiek. De nummers variëren van angst-ridden barn-burners naar alles aan de rand van de punkrock. Plus zoete, lome, langzame country.
