These New Puritans is de band rond de Britse broers George en Jack Barnett, bekend om hun grensverleggende en ongrijpbare artrock-geluid. Na zes jaar stilte keren ze terug met 'Crooked Wing', hun vijfde studioalbum. De plaat, geproduceerd door Jack Barnett en Graham Sutton (Bark Psychosis), bevat bijdragen van onder anderen Caroline Polachek en jazzveteraan Chris Laurence. ‘Crooked Wing’ beweegt zich tussen rauwe kracht en verstilde schoonheid en bevestigt de status van These New Puritans als een visionair en compromisloos duo.
