The Red Clay Strays, bestaande uit Brandon Coleman (lead vocals, gitaar), Drew Nix (gitaar and vocals), Zach Rishel (gitaar), Andrew Bishop (bas), John Hall (drums) groeiden als arbeiderszonen op met de riffs van bands als Lynryd Sjynryd. Met Coleman aan het roer, wiens gouden stem oldschool rock-'n-roll en soul combineert, hebben de Strays hun sporen verdiend met optredens op vele door drank kleverig geworden kroegvloeren. Na een ontmoeting tijdens een tournee met Elle King in 2023, sloot Sevans Henderson, geboren in Oklahoma, zich in februari 2024 bij de band aan om de taak van toetsenist te vervullen.

Met een geluid die vurige southern rockriffs, tedere soulmuziek en beproefde countryzang combineert, werden de Strays in rap tempo één van de meest gewilde acts in country- en rockkringen. De band bracht in 2022 hun debuutalbum Moment of Truth in eigen beheer uit, met daarop een handvol nummers die al snel vaste waarden voor de band werden. In 2024 bracht de band hun vervolgalbum 'Made By These Moments' uit, geproduceerd door niemand minder dan Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell). Het album werd een groot succes en belandde in de top 10 van de Billboard Top Country Album Charts.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
