Het Australische The Murlocs werd in 2011 opgericht door harpspeler Ambrose Kenny-Smith, die je ook kunt kennen als toetsenist, mondharmonicaspeler en zanger van King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard. Van dat psychedelische succeskanon speelt ook gitarist Cook Craig in The Murlocs. Met deze band houden ze vast aan de psychedelica met uptempo snaredrums en noisy gitaren, maar nu injecteren ze dat in soulvolle rhythm and blues. Tel daarbij de unieke en bij vlagen krijsende vocalen van Kenny-Smith op en je hebt, zoals ze het zelf omschrijven, een "fascinered krankzinnig dansfeest."

How to get to Cinetol

Cinetol is on Tolstraat 182 in the South of Amsterdam. The closest tram stop is Lutmastraat. There is also a nice restaurant in the building where you can have dinner before the show. Cinetol only accepts card payment, no cash.
