The Mary Wallopers is een energieke folkband die zijn oorsprong vindt in het Ierse Dundalk. De band werd opgericht door Sean McKenna en de broers Charles en Andre Hendy. Vanuit hun schuur begonnen ze met het maken van covers van oude Ierse folkballads en livestreams, wat uiteindelijk resulteerde in het album 'A Mouthful of the Mary Wallopers'. Later werd de band uitgebreid tot zeven leden, waaronder Roisin Barret op bas, Brendan McInerney op drums, Seamas Hyland op accordeon en Finian O'Connor op de fluit. Na succesvolle shows op festivals als Eurosonic Noorderslag en Glastonbury en twee fantastische optredens in Amsterdam komt de band aan het begin van de lente van 2024 terug voor een concert in Tolhuistuin.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
