De Britse soulzanger en Grammy-genomineerde James Hunter is al meer dan dertig jaar een vaste waarde in de soulwereld. Met zijn gruizige stem en messcherpe nummers speelt hij met zijn zesmansband de ene zaal na de andere plat, van intieme clubs tot grote festivals. Hij deelde het podium met legendes als Mavis Staples, Aretha Franklin en Van Morrison en werd door muziekblad MOJO geprezen als ‘The United Kingdom’s Greatest Soul Singer’. Op 16 januari verschijnt zijn nieuwe album ‘Off The Fence’, met daarop een zeldzaam duet met Van Morrison. Verwacht een show vol stuwende soul en zwoele ballads die je bij de keel grijpen.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
