De uitspraak op de Myspace-pagina van The Dubliners, “It’s too late to stop now”, zegt zo ongeveer alles. In 1962 werd de band opgericht in Dublin, waarmee de band waarschijnlijk een van de oudste nog actieve bands in Europa en misschien wel op de wereld is. Drie van de vijf oorspronkelijke leden zijn niet meer in leven, maar The Dubliners in nieuwe samenstelling houdt het erfgoed hoog en speelt met onstuitbare passie nog dezelfde geliefde Ierse folk-klassiekers. Vorig jaar stond de tournee van de legendarische band in het teken van de drie leden die er niet meer bij zijn, maar een onuitwisbaar stempel drukten op de muziek van The Dubliners.
