In 2010 brengt The Drums hun eerste album uit en het is meteen raak. De gelijknamige plaat staat vol met aanstekelijke indienummers zoals 'Let's Go Surfing'. De vrolijke gitaarlijntjes gepaard met duistere teksten creëren al gauw het typerende geluid voor The Drums. Voor het nieuwe album 'MOMMY DON'T SPANK ME' dook de band in hun oudere muziek. Het werd een verzameling van weinig gehoorde nummers uit hun vroege jaren die thema's van verlangen en liefdesverdriet verkent. Het zijn onderwerpen waar frontman Jonny Pierce in zijn teksten altijd aan vastgehouden heeft.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry runs from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. From there, turn left and you’ll walk straight into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance (Buiksloterweg 5C) is used. This entrance can be reached via Overhoeksplein

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant where you can enjoy a meal before the show. We recommend making a reservation in advance via this website.
