The Devil Makes Three is een driftig Amerikaans trio. Akoestische folk, country en rootsmuziek, 'with a slightly punky perspective on vintage American blues.' Maar ook met flarden ragtime of rockabilly. Geen drums maar enkel de talenten van gitarist/frontman Pete Bernhard, Lucia Turino aan de staande bas en gitarist Cooper McBean. 'Sourcing blues and throwing in fierce finger-picking guitar, a little slide, tenor banjo and rocking upright bass...' en daarbij dan nog zalige samenzang met een countrysnik.
