Wat krijg je als je Greg Puciato van mathcoreband Dillinger Escape Plan in een studio zet met producer Steven Alexander van Nine Inch Nails en Joshua Eustis (Puscifer en ook Nine Inch Nails)? Niet wat je verwacht in ieder geval! The Black Queen heeft een uniek synthpop-geluid dat ergens ligt tussen 30 Seconds To Mars en het eerder genoemde Nine Inch Nails. Melodieuze zang over een sfeervol industrial synths geluid. De band, die sinds 2011 actief is, gaf begin dit jaar pas hun eerste optreden en debuutalbum 'Fever Daydream' belooft veel goeds voor de carrière van het trio.
