Artist Statement

"Hey guys. Just a note to say that because of logistics beyond my control, I will have to postpone the UK/EU leg of my Summer Nights Like This tour. Connecting with my fans live is one of the things that keeps me going. Sharing my art and seeing you all is one of the greatest highlights of being an artist. The London show is still going ahead - I hope to see as many of you there as possible. I’ll be back with updates on when I’ll next be in Europe!

Austin Iwar Jr, beter bekend als Tay Iwar, is een Nigeriaanse zanger, songwriter en producer. Hij staat bekend om zijn levendige mix van r&b en Afro-fusion, waarbij hij gebruik maakt van klassieke afrobeat, hiphop en future sounds. Als tiener bracht hij zijn eerste volledige projecten uit, waaronder ‘Renascentia’ uit 2016. Vervolgens steeg hij naar grotere bekendheid met ‘Gemini’ uit 2019, uitgebracht met het in LA gevestigde muziekcollectief Soulection. Tay's inspanningen hebben hem tot een leidende figuur van de Afrikaanse kunstrenaissance gemaakt, een prestatie die nog wordt versterkt door samenwerkingen met onder anderen WizKid en Burna Boy.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
