TAPE TOY

TAPE TOY is an Amsterdam-based indie rock band that has established itself in recent years as one of the most consistent acts on the Dutch music scene. Lead vocalist and guitarist Roos van Tuil, guitarist and vocalist Wesley Fransen, bass guitarist Maurice van de Graaf and drummer Marc van Dongen have known each other for over ten years, and it shows. The four were originally brought together for a school project at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where the collaboration clicked immediately. Since their official launch in 2017, the band has won the Amsterdam Pop Prize, scored a 3FM Megahit with ‘Naive’ and supported acts including WIES, Krezip, Weezer, Skunk Anansie and Hinds. Their sound moves between gritty grunge, playful Britpop and energetic skate punk. Live, this translates into shows that not only invite you to jump around, but also stay with you long after.
