Super-Sonic Jazz 2020 - Online Festival

In October 2020, the fourth edition of the annual Super-Sonic Jazz Festival would have taken place 'pandemic-proof' at Paradiso Amsterdam. Unfortunately due to the enhanced corona measures, the festival could not go on with a live audience present. However, the festival will continue this year as an online festival. All the shows are professionally recorded and broadcast online (for free) on Friday, November 20 via YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and Twitch.

Talent development platform Super-Sonic Jazz started in 2016 as a series of concerts and club nights in Paradiso to provide a stage for the new wave of contemporary jazz musicians. An annual festival and the launch of the independent record label Super-Sonic Jazz Records followed. With experimental programming that blends traditional jazz with contemporary genres such as hip-hop, neo-soul, R&B and electronic music, Super-Sonic Jazz pushes the boundaries of what jazz culture means to listeners, enthusiasts and artists alike.
