De Londense band Sugababes ontstond in 1998 uit zangeressen Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena en Keisha Buchanan en brak twee jaar later door met debuutsingle 'Overload'. Sugababes staat bekend om hun herkenbare, originele r&b en popgeluid vol vocale harmonieën. De driekoppige groep scoorde door de jaren heen enorme hits met nummers als 'Freak like Me', 'Round Round' en 'Push the Button' en wordt gezien als een van de meest succesvolle vocale popgroepen uit de Engelse muziekgeschiedenis. In 2004 gaf Sugababes voor het eerst een concert in Paradiso.

In de loop der jaren onderging Sugababes verschillende bezettingswisselingen. Siobhán Donaghy verliet de groep in 2001 en werd vervangen door Heidi Range. Mutya Buena vertrok in 2005 en werd vervangen door Amelle Berrabah. Keisha Buchanan verliet de groep in 2009 en Jade Ewen trad toe als haar vervanger. Sinds 2011 is Sugababes echter weer terug in hun oorspronkelijke bezetting, waarmee de band in september én een voltallige liveband tweemaal in Paradiso te zien is, negentien jaar nadat de band voor het eerst in Paradiso stond.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
