Sturgill Simpson is een Amerikaanse countryzanger, songwriter en acteur uit Kentucky. Simpson bracht sinds 2013 acht soloalbums uit, waarvan 'High Top Mountain' en 'Metamodern Sounds in Country Music' zijn vroege doorbraken waren. Zijn derde album, 'A Sailor's Guide to Earth' won een Grammy voor Best Country Album in 2017. Simpson's muziekstijl wordt vaak vergeleken met outlaw country-artiesten als Waylon Jennings, maar hij experimenteert ook met rock, psychedelica en bluegrass. In 2024 introduceerde Simpson het alter ego Johnny Blue Skies voor zijn album 'Passage du Desir'. Naast muziek is Simpson ook actief in de filmwereld, met rollen in films als 'The Dead Don't Die' en 'Killers of the Flower Moon'.

How to get to Paradiso

Paradiso is on the Weteringschans 6-8 in Amsterdam. That is very close to Leidseplein. From every part of the city there are trams heading towards Leidseplein. From there on out you can walk to Paradiso. Free and secured underground bike parking is available on the opposite side of Paradiso. Travelling by car is difficult, since there are only a few busy parking lots nearby.
