In 2013 maakte de muziekwereld voor het eerst kennis met SOPHIE. De Schotse produceert haar eigen nummers die bestaan uit elektronische baslijnen, levendige melodieën en bijpassende vocalen. Haar verfrissende kijk op extatische popmuziek leverde haar onder andere een aantal coproductie credits op voor Madonna, Vince Staples en Charli XCX. Ze groeide op in Glasgow en na enkele omzwervingen via Londen en Berlijn vond SOPHIE haar nieuwe thuis in Los Angeles. Onlangs bracht ze haar debuutalbum uit, met daarop negen vlijmscherp geschreven nummers die je zo nu en dan op het verkeerde been zetten en tegelijkertijd meevoeren naar een zuurstokroze wereld.

How to get to Tolhuistuin

Tolhuistuin (formerly Paradiso Noord) is located at IJpromenade 2 in Amsterdam North. A free ferry is departing from Amsterdam Central Station to Buiksloterweg. Turn left and you’ll walk into Tolhuistuin. For club nights, the rear entrance is used (Buiksloterweg 5C), which can be reached via the Overhoeksplein.

Restaurant
Tolhuistuin also has a restaurant in which you can have a bite before the show. We advise to make a reservation in advance via this website.
